McCarthy's Judge Holden embodies the same philosophical proposition Herzeleid enacts musically: that war and dance are the same gesture, that violence is not an aberration of civilization but its most honest liturgy. What is rarely noted is that the Judge's speeches function like Rammstein lyrics — they are not arguments but invocations, designed to be felt in the chest before they reach the mind.

Kasai Allstars constructs polyrhythmic systems that function like Herzeleid's locked industrial grooves — the body is not invited to move, it is compelled, overwhelmed by a force that precedes individual will. What the Western ear misses is that these rhythms are ritual technologies for summoning, not expression — the music is the machine, not the message.

Both works stage the merger of flesh and power as a question about what humanity actually is beneath its civilizational skin — whether the beast is the corruption of the human or its truest form. Yuasa's choice to saturate violence with ecstasy rather than disgust is the same wager Herzeleid makes: that refusing to aestheticize darkness is its own form of dishonesty.
