Petrov's Flu
Kirill Serebrennikov · 2021
A feverish working-class Yekaterinburg dissolves the boundary between memory, hallucination, and Soviet childhood, the protagonist drifting between his current self and a boy who once existed elsewhere. Like the unstable narration of Lenù's recollection, the film treats the poor neighborhood as a place that infects the body and never quite releases it.
